Frequently Asked
Can I use my insurance?
Maybe. Daniel is on panel for some BCBS plans and can accept Oscar, United, Oxford, Aetna, and Cigna via Headway for individual counseling only.
We do not accept insurance for any couples work. An explanation for that policy can be found here.
Keeley does not accept any form of insurance.
We are happy to provide you a coded invoice on request for seeking reimbursement from your insurance.
We are able to accept most HSA/FSA cards as a form of payment.
Do you have sliding scale rates? Do I need income documentation to qualify?
Keeley and Joelle are currently accepting new sliding scale clients. They will work with you to find a rate that fits within your budget. We do not ask for any proof or documentation of financial hardship. We ask only for our clients to be truthful with us, and to assign an appropriate value to the treatment. Those who pay more allow us the opportunity to help serve those who can afford less.
Who has weekend/evening availability?
Currently, Keeley has evening availabity on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Both Keeley and Joelle have Saturday spots available.
Do you work with LGBTQ individuals and couples?
Absolutely! We endeavor through our services to be advocates for, and allies to the LGBTQ community.
What's the cancellation or missed appointment policy?
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment by phone or email with at least 24 hrs advance notice. Please do not use text message, as we cannot guarantee it will be received in time.
With less than 24 hours notice, as we won’t be able to fill the spot, you will be charged the full session fee. Please note, that as we cannot bill insurance for a session you don’t attend, it is the full fee, not just the copay.
This policy is applied very strictly, with very few exceptions made. This is to protect your relationship with your counselor, so repeated cancellations does not lead to resentment toward the client, nor does it motivate the client to lie to the counselor to have a good excuse for missing.
